Diagnostics: Gravimetric Method

There are special tests to assess qualitative and quantitative sweating. One of the qualitative methods of sweating assessment is a gravimetric one.

This method presupposes weighing a definite piece of filter paper before and 60 seconds after its contact with the prototype area. It is proven that under hyperhidrosis condition, about 200 ml of sweat exudes per minute.

Minor’s test is used to determine the range of hyperhidrosis.
